As we journey through this study together there will be a lot of self-evaluation and discovery. We have to be willing to work on the man in the mirror, because you can only be responsible for yourself. If you can improve yourself, then you will improve every relationship.
Our first assignment is to do a Bible Name Search. Take each letter of your name, whether it be your given name or what you’re are called, and find a scripture that speaks to your heart. Here is mine:
D – “Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, and in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom.” (Psalm 51:6, NASB)
E – “… and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself.” (Exodus 19:4b, NASB)
R – “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4, NASB)
E – “Therefore encourage one another and build up one another …” (1 Thessalonians 5:11a, NASB)
K – “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19, NASB) *Had to give all of this one! Hallelujer!
Challenge yourself and try this. See what you come up with and allow God to speak to you.
(If you would like to share your discovery, feel free to post in the comments of this article)
